I start to work out a better brighter circuit and change it to a parallel circuit and link up more LEDs.

I tried 4 leds first and found that it is not bright enough and start to change the whole wiring.

Putting 2 LEDs together as a unit and make the wires more tidy.

It works well

After so much soldering my brand new soldering iron change color…..wonder why it became blue

study about parallel circuit

after i sucessfully made the device i find out that if i want 4 led then i will need 8 AA battery. The problem is 4 leds are not enougth for my project . So i tried to find ways to add more leds.

After reading many knowledge about electronic circuit i finally figure out a way.

just make the circuit parallel then i can use 3V (ie 2 AA battery) Then i can light up as many LED as i want.

Then i start to change the circuit diagram.

Tried at least 6 old 3.5mm audio jacks finally get one which works

later i figure out that they wont work because i didn't solder them together.

actually i blink with the music i am playing!

Then start serious soldering (This is the first time soldering ever in my life)

not bad right?

After hours of trying the device finally works

Nice effect in complete darkness

Trying to connect 3.5mm audio jack with Tip31

start blowing LEDsss cause of wrong resistors

Finally get the LEDs lit without burning them but still not working with Tip31
